Adama–Asella Road Project Reaches 60% Completion

Meteorite Construction PLC is pleased to report that civil rehabilitation and widening works on the Adama–Asella commercial corridor have passed the 60% completion milestone, on schedule and within technical tolerances.

Over the past three months, earthwork teams completed grading across the most demanding undulating sections, placing over 95,000 m³ of crushed stone base course.

Milestones Delivered to Date:

  • Asphalt Surfacing: 26 continuous kilometers of binder course completed to full ERA thickness standards.
  • Hydraulic Structures: 14 reinforced concrete pipe and box culverts successfully installed and backfilled before peak seasonal rainfall.
  • Community Access: Dedicated side turnouts and agricultural crossing ramps constructed to safeguard local farm transit.

Paving operations on the remaining northern segment are currently underway with dual paving trains deployed to maximize daily throughput.
